Eight trends that will shape the Future of the Restaurant Industry after COVID-19 by HTS – 31 Nov 2022

At HTS – Hospitality Team Services, we believe in eight trends that will shape the Future of the Restaurant Industry after COVID-19

  1. Food Safety, Security, Hygiene and Cost Saving will be part of the new normal.
  2. Technology such as IoT and Online ERP will be a crucial technology for industry 4.0. When IoT technologies integrate with ERP, more data will be available to leverage, and the operator will be able to move from a reactive to a proactive attitude.
  3. With today’s worker shortages, we will focus on employee training as fast and efficiently as possible, and most team members will have to be cross-functional.
  4. With the rapid growth of delivery and takeout, virtual brand trends will be more and more present in our society.
  5. To satisfy tomorrow’s dinners, transparency will be critical regarding internal procedures, sourcing and cleanliness.
  6. Due to a shortage of import products, restaurants are moving to more local ingredients and innovative uses of the same ingredients.
  7. Restaurants can’t stay stagnant and need to renew themselves and always be looking to innovate their service, menu and experience.
  8. Restaurants need to stay in tune with what matters to customers and alter their experiences accordingly, such as lowering menu prices or offering incentives or digital ordering and payment.
